About An Honest Node
One Bitcoiner, a long rabbit hole, and a site built to shorten yours.
I go by An Honest Node. I have been into Bitcoin since 2017, when the price was somewhere near $20,000 — which means I found it right about at the top and then watched what came next. I stuck around. A few years later I went through the whole altcoin mess like almost everyone did, chasing things that promised to be faster or cheaper or newer. That detour turned out to be the most useful education I could have had, because it showed me by contrast what Bitcoin actually is and what everything else is not.
In 2020 I started buying more and taking it seriously. In 2024 I became a maxi — Bitcoin only, no exceptions — after spending hours on end asking AI every question I had, reading books, and connecting with other Bitcoiners. Learning how the technology really works, and following the rabbit hole it puts you down, has been one of the most rewarding things I have done. This site is where I put what I have picked up along the way: the products I actually use, education in plain English, free tools, and the option to just get on a call and talk it through with someone who has already made the mistakes.
How I got here
2017
Found it near the top
I got into Bitcoin in 2017, when the price was pushing $20,000. Not exactly a quiet entry point — but it got my attention, and it never really let go.
2019
The altcoin detour
Like a lot of people, I went through the whole altcoin mess a few years later. I am glad I did. Nothing teaches you what makes Bitcoin different faster than trying the alternatives.
2020
Started stacking seriously
I came back around and started buying more, consistently. Less trading, more accumulating. Less noise, more signal.
2024
Bitcoin only
I went full maxi. I spent hours on end asking AI every question I could think of, reading books, and connecting with other Bitcoiners. Learning the technology — and how deep the rabbit hole actually goes — is genuinely amazing.

I am not a financial advisor and nothing here is financial advice. Some product links are affiliate links, which I label as such — I only list things I would recommend anyway. I am Bitcoin only, so you will not find altcoin content here. And I will always tell you when I do not know something.
